Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring near a crowded southern California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Footage uploaded on the internet show the chopper beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Information
Emergency responders stated five persons were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
